CEI – The project is titled: “Exchange Program on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities between Albanian and Croatian Institutions of Human Rights and Anti – Discrimination “. The project is co-financed by CEI – Central European Initiative fund at the EBRD. A project, implemented in close cooperation with the Ombudsman for Persons with Disabilities of Croatia as a provider institution, achieved these objectives:
1. Increased the institutional capacity of CPD Albania through the exchange program of experiences between the two institutions, and this cooperation was not only one-sided. CPD Albania through its own methods and experiences, which by combining with the experience of a developed and EU member country generated a valuable product, employees with European experience, and employees with an improved background at a higher level.
2. CPD, in exercising the powers provided by the law, found necessary and appropriate cooperation with dedicated and specialized institutions to carry out reports and monitoring that will highlight the real problems by addressing them to the responsible institutions, accompanied by recommendations and imposing adequate administrative sanctions.
3. Increasing the overall impact of institutions of equality and protection of human rights, through the promotion and cooperation with counterparts’ institutions of EU countries.
